Ozan Özerk

Ozan Özerk founded Gratis in September 2022, as part of Eurotrader Group. Eurotrader Group was also founded by Dr. Ozan Özerk in 2018. Alongside Gratis, Eurotrader Group boasts Eurotrader investment platform for trading in forex, stocks, indices and commodities and Eurocapital, a Prime of Prime liquidity provider with end-to-end solutions and secure offerings.

Ozan Özerk was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1979 and moved to Norway with his family at a young age. His father, Kamil Özerk is a professor at the Department of Education in the University of Oslo and his mother Meral R. Özerk specialises in children with learning disabilities. She works as a senior advisor at Statped.

Ozan Özerk studied medicine at the University of Oslo from 2000 to 2008. He completed his medical internship at Narvik Hospital.

Ozan Ozerk’s entrepreneurial career started in 2005 with Norsk Ideutvikling, an online media company he co-founded, famous for its social networking site Biip.no. The site was an early version of today’s popular social media platforms and was largely successful in Norway. It was acquired by Egmont and Nettavisen in 2008. Following the acquisition, Dr. Ozan Özerk stayed on until 2010.

After his tenure at Biip.no, Ozan Ozerk worked as a medical doctor until 2015. He held positions as an emergency room doctor in the cities of Narvik, Bærum, and Moss.

Ozan Ozerk made the shift to his current career in fintech in 2015. He consolidated his consolidated his early ventures under OpenPayd in 2018, which today is a well-known brand in the fintech industry, offering Banking as a Service (BaaS) solutions. OpenPayd was founded and is still headquartered in London, now with offices in Bulgaria, Turkey, Malta, Belgium and the USA.

Alongside Openpayd, European Merchant Bank (EMBank), Ozan SuperApp and Eurotrader Group are some other major financial institutions founded by Dr. Ozan Ozerk. Gratis was launched in 2022 as an initative of the Eurotrader Group.

Ozan Ozerk frequently shares his thoughts and projections on the future of fintech through interviews and opinion-pieces. He has a strong standpoint on issues regarding financial inclusion and equality, often speaking and writing on these topics.

Ozan Ozerk is also an official member of the Forbes Financial Council since 2021.

Terms and Conditions

Introduction

Any reference in these Gratis Free Share Promotion Terms and Conditions (hereinafter the “T&Cs”) to the terms "we", "our", "our" and "ourselves", as the case may be, means Eurotrade Investments RGB Ltd (hereinafter the “Company” or “Gratis app”). Similarly, any reference made to "Client", "you", "your", and "yourself" as applicable will refer to you as a client of our services under these T&Cs These Gratis Free Share Promotion Terms and Conditions (hereinafter the “T&Cs”) are applicable to all new clients of the Gratis app, subject to eligibility criteria.

Eligibility criteria

The T&Cs are applicable to all new Clients of the Gratis app who:
1. Sign up for the Gratis app waitlist on the website; and
2. Successful open an account with the Gratis app within the Active Period.

Terms

Solely for the purpose of these T&Cs Active Period shall mean 6 (six) calendar months, which starts to run from the day the Gratis app application is officially available in your jurisdiction.
If the Client fails to successfully open an account with the Gratis app within the Active Period, then these T&Cs will not apply.
Subject to conditions of these T&Cs following the day of successfully opening an account with the Gratis app or at the latest on the second following day, the Client instructs the Gratis app to buy the share (fraction of share) that shall be allocated to him/her for the value of €10 (Ten Euro).
Once joining the waitlist on the website1, you agree to be bound by these T&Cs and instruct the Gratis app to buy the share (fraction) in accordance with the terms indicated above in Clause 5 of this T&Cs.
The Client receives the share (fraction of share) in accordance with these T&Cs at the then current share exchange price and the payment of the share (fraction of share) is entirely taken over by the Gratis app.
The Client is allocated a share (fraction of a share), selected from a certain pool of shares, determined by the Gratis app at its full discretion.
Implications of owning a share (fraction of a share) in a business come with fluctuations in price. Share prices fluctuate daily and can be a volatile asset. The Gratis app is not in any way promoting and/or recommending the share (fraction of a share) you are allocated as part of these T&Cs or any other program.
The Client is liable for all applicable taxes when sold. Any tax implications will depend on the Client’s personal circumstances and are out of the Gratis app’s control and/or responsibility. The Client is recommended to seek advice from a tax professional.
Depending on the point at which the allocation is made and the time of the stock purchase, the value of the share (fraction of a share) may be outside the specified value range in exceptional cases.
These T&Cs do not entail any legally binding obligation on the Gratis app.
The Gratis app reserves the right to modify or terminate these T&Cs at any time, without prior notice and without any giving reasons. Such modifications are effective upon posting on the website1.
All investments involve a degree of risk of some kind. The Risk Disclosure describes some of the risks which could be relevant to the services, which we intend to provide to you.
